Due to the fact that your child will not be able to brush their own teeth until they are around six years of age, it must be up to an adult to execute this essential task until they come of age. With children under three, use a droplet of toothpaste about the size of a rice grain. With young children under six, use a droplet of toothpaste about the size of a pea.

Avoid letting your child ever sleep with a baby bottle in their mouth. If they sleep with the bottle, it is possible for liquid to pool in their mouth, which increases the time that harmful substances can attack their teeth. Additionally, sugar is one of the most dangerous substances to a child’s teeth, so limit or avoid drinks such as sodas, sports drinks, sugar water, and juice.

By the time a child is six months old, their first tooth should be visible above the gum line. When it appears, it must be cared for every day. Although cleaning their teeth is essential, so too should the care be that is given to which products they consume.
